Phyllostachys nigra ‘Megurochiku’Statistics: Height: 30+ feet Diameter: 2+ inches Megurochiku is an attractive variant to Henon. Being on of the nigra group it retains all the normal characteristics of small leaves, mid season shoots and strong, straight culms. It's only obvious difference from Henon is the sulcus turns black after a few years. It is a good alternative to Henon if you want something different from the common type. Megurochiku has grown very well for us and would be a delightful addition to your garden as it is sure to grow up fast and please quickly.
